What is Assistance With Daily Life?
Assistance With Daily Life is a funded NDIS Core Supports category that helps participants manage everyday tasks. The goal is not to do everything for a participant โ it is to give them the support they need to do as much as they choose for themselves.
What's included?
- โPersonal hygiene support โ showering, grooming, dressing and skincare
- โMeal preparation and eating assistance
- โMedication prompting and administration support
- โMoving around the home safely, including transfer support
- โCommunication assistance throughout the day
- โSupport attending therapy, medical and community appointments
- โAssistance building skills and independence in everyday routines
- โCulturally specific meal preparation respecting dietary requirements
- โFemale support workers for female participants on request
Who is eligible?
- โActive NDIS plan that includes Core Supports funding
- โNDIA managed, plan managed or self-managed plans all accepted
- โNDIS participant of any age or disability type
- โLocated anywhere in Australia
