What is Assistance With Daily Life?
Assistance With Daily Life is a funded NDIS Core Supports category that helps participants manage everyday tasks. The goal is not to do everything for a participant — it is to give them the support they need to do as much as they choose for themselves.
What's included?
- ✓Personal hygiene support — showering, grooming, dressing and skincare
- ✓Meal preparation and eating assistance
- ✓Medication prompting and administration support
- ✓Moving around the home safely, including transfer support
- ✓Communication assistance throughout the day
- ✓Support attending therapy, medical and community appointments
- ✓Assistance building skills and independence in everyday routines
- ✓Culturally specific meal preparation respecting dietary requirements
- ✓Female support workers for female participants on request
Who is eligible?
- →Active NDIS plan that includes Core Supports funding
- →NDIA managed, plan managed or self-managed plans all accepted
- →NDIS participant of any age or disability type
- →Located anywhere in Australia
