What is Shared Living / SIL?
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS funded support that covers the assistance participants need to live as independently as possible in a home setting. It is funded separately from your housing and pays for the team of workers who support you inside the home. Shared living means living in a home with other NDIS participants where each person has their own individual support plan but the living environment is shared. SIL can operate inside an SDA property, in a private rental, or in any other living arrangement.
